Śrī Śrīnivāsācārya Prabhoraṣṭakam
(This aṣṭaka was translated from the appendix of Śrī Karṇānanda by Śrī Yadunandana Dāsa Ṭhākura, a grand-disciple of Śrī Hemalatā Ṭhākurāṇī, though it is not clearly stated therein that he is in fact the author.)

His beautiful limbs are more effulgent than gold and adorned with the symptoms of ecstasy. His face is like the full moon, his two eyes are like blooming lotuses, his chest is very broad, his forehead is decorated with a charming mark of tilaka and his neck adorned with beads. May that Śrī Śrīnivāsa Ācārya Prabhu manifest within my heart.

He is like a wish-fulfilling tree upon this Earth, his branches being Śrī Rāmacandra Kavirāja, while Śrī Balarāma and other poets are further branches, all blossoming with flowers of compassion. May that Śrī Śrīnivāsa Ācārya Prabhu manifest within my heart.

His practice of bhajana is well known to the exalted hosts of devotees, while he himself is a servant of the devotees, having conquered his senses. In a sweet voice, he performs kīrtana of Śrī Rādhā Kṛṣṇa’s various names and, sometimes, he sings of Śrī Kṛṣṇa’s pastimes and dances. May that Śrī Śrīnivāsa Ācārya Prabhu manifest within my heart.

By the potency of Śrī Kṛṣṇa Caitanya Mahāprabhu, he propagated the books of the Gosvāmīs throughout Gauḍa-maṇḍala, giving direction to those with none and befriending the misdirected and fallen. He is the epitome of all virtue, the incarnation of prema. May that Śrī Śrīnivāsa Ācārya Prabhu manifest within my heart.

May that Śrī Śrīnivāsa Ācārya Prabhu, who, saddened by the sorrow of the misdirected souls of Kali-yuga, went to great effort to bring the sacred texts of the Gosvāmīs of Vraja to Gauḍa-maṇḍala, and who, with a compassionate heart, instructed all in the essential conclusions of devotion, manifest within my heart.

May that Śrī Śrīnivāsa Ācārya Prabhu, who is always relishing and preaching with his associates the divine loving service of the matchless couple Śrī Rādhā-Kṛṣṇa, which is the most esoteric secret of all the Vedic scriptures and beyond the comprehension of even Brahmā and Rudra, manifest within my heart.

The beloved associates of Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu bestowed upon him profuse blessings. He gave up his own happiness as if it were poison and there was not even a semblance of intellectual or industrial pursuit in his devotion. Bereft of pride and desire for respect, he gave honour to all. May that Śrī Śrīnivāsa Ācārya Prabhu manifest within my heart.

“O Śrī Nidhuvana! O Śrī Yamune! O Śrīla Girirāja Govardhana! O Rādhā-kuṇḍa! O Śyāma-kuṇḍa! O lotus-eyed Śrī Rādhā-Kṛṣṇa! O Śrī Balarāma!” Doing kīrtana like this, he would pass his days. May that Śrī Śrīnivāsa Ācārya Prabhu manifest within my heart.

If, being of immaculate mind, a devotee whose heart is fixed on Śrī Kṛṣṇa sings this charming eight-part prayer to Śrī Śrīnivāsa Ācārya Prabhu, divine prema-bhakti will automatically manifest in his heart and, taking shelter of Śrī Vṛndāvana, he will attain the service of Śrī Rādhā-Govinda’s lotus feet in the company of Their intimate associates.
